Sayur Asem

Ingredients:

  • Vegetable for the soup
v  100 g yardlong bean
v  1 chayote
v  50 gr corn
v  100 gr young jackfuit
v  50 gr green Gnetum gnemon leaves and fruits (melinjo)
v  105 gr galangal
v  5 averrhoa bilimbi
v  1 spoon salt
v  ½  spoon sugar
  • Grind spices:
v  2 fresh red chili
v  2 shallots
v  3 cloves garlics
v  2 gr terasi (shrimp paste)

Instructions:


  1. Clean the vegetables, cut into bite size
  2. Boil 1.2 liter of water in a pot
  3. Put grind spices and enter corn,  young jackfruit, and gnetum gnemon fruits because it take more time to cook
  4. After 15 minutes put yard long beans, galangal and averrhoa bilimbi
  5. Add salt and sugar to taste
  6. Wait until it cook perfectly
