Satay Matang

Satay Matang
Satay matang is one of favorite food in Aceh. It call sate matang because this food come from Matang glumpang dua village (one of village in Bireuen district). Every people like to it this food. Satay matang has a sweet taste when eaten,  with extra peanut sauce and soup broth made satay matang become one of special menu in matang village (Aceh)
Ingredients:
·      300 grams of beef (chop into cube)
Grind spices to satay:
·       1 tsp coriander
·       1 piece of garlic
·       1 piece of onion
·       2 cm ginger
·       2 cm galangal
·       2 cm turmeric
·       2 pieces candlenut
·       salt to taste
·       Brown sugar to taste
Peanut sauce:
·       200 gr peanuts (fried and mashed)
·       1 garlic (grind)
·       2 bay leaves
·       2 lime leaves
·       2 pieces pandan leaves
·       1 stalk lemongrass
·       1 cinnamon stick
·       200 gr dried chili (grind)
·       500 ml coconut milk
·       1 tbsp sugar
·       2 tbsp palm sugar
·       3 spoon oil to saute
Peanut Sauce:
·       Heat oil and Saute garlic and dried chili. Then enter bay leaves, lime leave, pandan, lemon grass, cinnamon, saute until fragrant
·       Add coconut milk, wait until a little boiling
·       Then put peanuts, sugar, palm sugar. Stir until boiling.
Satay matang:
·       Saute grind spices of satay until fragrant and then add beef. Stir for a while to allow the spices seep into the beef
·       Take the beef and arrange on skewers that made of bamboo, then grilled both side until cooked
·       Remove satay on the plate and pour the peanut sauce on it

·       Satay matang usually serve with warm plain rice
